全球最重的大熊猫宝宝诞生

A female giant panda cub weighing 270.4 grams became the world's heaviest captive panda newborn ever registered, a panda research center in Southwest China's Sichuan province said on Wednesday.

一只体重270.4克的大熊猫雌性幼仔在位于四川的中国大熊猫保护研究中心诞生，这是迄今为止全球圈养大熊猫出生体重最重的大熊猫幼仔。

The cub's delivery process was worrisome, as it took Cuicui a long time to exhibit any labor reaction after her water broke, according to Cheng Jianbin, Cuicui's keeper.

负责照顾“翠翠”的饲养师程建斌表示，分娩过程令人担忧，因为她在破水后花了很长时间才表现出分娩反应。

The baby panda was eventually born, nearly 40 hours after Cuicui's water broke.

小熊猫最终在破水后近40个小时出生了。

The last time she gave birth was in 2018, and all her previous cubs weighed over 200 grams, Cheng said, adding that Cuicui is extremely maternal and very good at taking care of her young.

程建斌说，“翠翠”是一只母性极强、很会照顾宝宝的大熊猫，最近一次生产是在2018年，它之前生育的宝宝出生体重都在200克以上。

Since June, six pandas at the center have given birth to cubs.

今年6月以来，熊猫中心已有6只大熊猫相继产仔。

The center has welcomed 11 new cubs so far, with five pairs of twins.

截至目前，熊猫中心已收获11只新生幼仔，其中5对是双胞胎。

This birthing season is expected to last until the end of August.

预计本轮产仔季将持续到8月底。
